Memory, Learning & Performance Under Pressure Workshop

€ 250,00Preço

There are moments in dance where it feels like the body forgets, the mind overthinks, or movement disappears under pressure.

You practiced. You repeated. You worked harder.

Yet choreography slips away, confidence drops, and frustration grows.

This is often not a lack of ability.

It is a lack of understanding of how memory, learning, attention, emotions, and the nervous system shape movement.

Memory, Learning & Performance Under Pressure is a 5-hour immersive workshop exploring the neuroscience and psychology behind how dancers learn, remember, perform, and respond under stress.

Through practical movement experiences, reflection, and evidence-based tools, we will explore:

🧠 Why repetition alone often fails
🧠 Memory retrieval vs memory storage
🧠 How stress changes performance and recall
🧠 State-dependent and cue-dependent learning
🧠 Attention and focus in movement
🧠 Why dancers freeze under pressure
🧠 Nervous system effects on movement and performance
🧠 Practical tools to strengthen learning and retention
🧠 How to create more efficient and sustainable practice strategies

This is not simply a lecture.

You will move, experience, reflect, and apply concepts directly to your own learning and dance practice.

Whether you are a dancer, teacher, choreographer, movement practitioner, or simply curious about how the brain and body work together, you will leave with practical tools you can immediately use.

📅 Date: 28th June
⏰ Time: 2:00pm–7:00pm
🌍 Online with replay available

Come understand not only what you do in dance, but why.
